Hello! My name is J.E. (John) McDonald. I'm a passionate storyteller who allows my heart and imagination to lead the way, and most of the time, I don't even know how my stories will end!

I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky with my parents and three brothers. Some of my fondest memories are of my mom telling me bedtime stories. I've been telling and writing stories most of my life, and with the encouragement of my family and friends, I decided to take the next step into book writing.
My highest hope is that as you experience my stories, your children will find that spark of their own creativity and that you will find joy in the memories shared with your little ones!

My 5 year old approves! It's an original story idea, really nice. I expected it would take two or three sittings to get through due to my son's short attention span, but he got through in one go! At the end he said "I like this book!" Looking forward to further adventures of these unique friends!

I am a teacher by trade and I buy children's books that have the potential to spark a child's interest with colorful illustrations and characters. I also enjoy stories that create opportunities to spark discussions...the story lends itself to lessons about what makes a good friendship and how to approach and make friends, even with people who may be different than yourself. This is my favorite part of the story.
